Viktor Koen (USA, 1967) was born in Thessaloniki, studied in Israel and the United States, and is currently based in New York. A master of digital sorcery, in Transmigrations he presents a series of bravura portraits made up of fragments of human and insect imagery representing high executive title holders and bureaucrats, returned to life as malevolent insects. Nightmarish clones of the animate and inanimate, they incorporate and personify symbols of their previous existence.
