A photographic travelogue to which a text has attached itself. More than simple impressions of a journey, this is a personal meditation on the idea of the journey and how it is perceived by a young photographer. Born in Geneva in 1973, Christian Lutz studied photography in Belgium, at the "Le 75" arts foundation in Brussels. He lives and works principally in his native Switzerland, dividing his time between special reports in that country and completing major long-term personal projects. Since October 1995 he has been working on a photographic chronicle devoted to the island of Karpathos.
